The shopping cart does more than just accept orders: it connects third-party logistics providers with bank payment collection.
DFocus' shopping cart development can integrate with third-party applications such as NewebPay and ECPay, allowing merchants to connect the ordering, payment and delivery processes on their own platforms; it also has development experience in direct bank integration, completing the payment collection process according to the service arrangements of businesses and banks.
- Electronic payment: The checkout and payment process is arranged according to the services and connection specifications enabled by the merchant.
- Convenience store collection: Connect the selected convenience store collection method and confirm the payment deadline and payment result notification.
- ATM/Online Transfer: In conjunction with third-party or bank solutions, we handle the connection between transfer payments and order status.
- Logistics services: We integrate delivery or convenience store pickup processes based on solutions from our partner suppliers and merchants.
- Direct bank integration: Developed based on the payment methods, interface documents, and accounting rules agreed upon between the business and the bank.
The actual project activated may differ from the supplier's plan, and the payment page may redirect according to the service specifications; linking does not mean that every payment will be credited to your account immediately.
The logistics development fee, third-party handling fee, and bank fee should be confirmed separately to avoid confusing the system integration fee with the transaction fee.
NewebPay Services Description · ECPay Payment Interface Documents · DFocus Integration Costs & Handoff
Can the DFocus shopping cart be integrated with NewebPay, ECPay, and bank payment services?
Yes. DFocus shopping cart development can be customized to integrate third-party payment and logistics providers such as NewebPay and ECPay, depending on the business's chosen solution. This includes planning electronic payments, convenience store collection, ATM/online transfers, and logistics services. We also have experience developing solutions that directly connect with banks, allowing businesses to collect payments from customers according to bank agreements. Merchants can integrate order placement, payment, and delivery processes on their own platforms; the actual payment interface may vary depending on the supplier's specifications. Available items, fees, payment result notifications, crediting methods, and schedules must be confirmed based on the services and API specifications enabled by the merchant; not every project includes all payment methods simultaneously.

DFocus Development Technology, Integration Costs, and Project Completion Deliverables
From technology selection and cost scope to corporate ownership, first understand the engagement and delivery methods of DFocus customized projects.
What technologies does DFocus use to develop customized e-commerce? Is it mandatory to use WordPress/WooCommerce?
DFocus offers independent development capabilities for environments such as PHP, .NET, ASP, and ASP.NET, and integrates JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. PHP projects can utilize frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, and ThinkPHP, or be developed using a framework-free approach. Custom e-commerce is not limited to WordPress/WooCommerce installations or extensions; the actual technology selection, existing components, and scope of customization will be determined based on project requirements and the deployment environment.
How are DFocus payment and logistics integration fees calculated? Does the quote include SSL?
Payment and shipping integrations are quoted around your provider, API, store size, and checkout flow. For many small e-commerce projects, the integration work is typically TWD 30,000–50,000. That is the integration budget, not the price of the entire website. Transaction fees and provider subscriptions are separate. If you need an SSL certificate, we can help with the application and installation; you pay the certificate cost. See our Website Maintenance & Security page for maintenance plans, included change allowances, and additional charges. Final scope and pricing are confirmed in your quote.
Will DFocus deliver the source code, database, and host management rights after project handoff?
Yes. At handoff, you receive the complete project source code, database, and the hosting-management access included in your hosting plan. Your data stays on the hosting account your business leases; DFocus does not withhold it to prevent you from moving providers. We coordinate with your hosting provider. On shared hosting, management access does not necessarily include server root access.
Who owns the DFocus custom project?
We sign project-ownership documents at completion to confirm your business owns the work it has purchased. Source code, the database, and hosting access are handed over against the delivery checklist. Open-source frameworks, third-party packages, and licensed stock materials keep their own license terms; those rights are listed separately from ownership of your custom project.
How much does DFocus's customized e-commerce service cost for a year of ongoing maintenance? What adjustments are included?
Maintenance costs vary depending on website size, transaction process, number of connections, and support requirements; a single price does not cover all e-commerce platforms. The existing basic plan is based on a small brand website, with a reference monthly fee of TWD 1,500–3,000; the SME plan is based on a medium-sized business website, with a reference monthly fee of TWD 5,000–12,000, which may include minor adjustments to existing functions within the agreed-upon budget. Converted over twelve months, these are approximately TWD 18,000–36,000 and TWD 60,000–144,000 respectively, and are not fixed annual fees for e-commerce platforms. Labor hours or number of items, inspection frequency, taxes, excess fees, and excluded items must be confirmed in the contract; new modules, major upgrades, and new connections will be estimated separately.

One-Time-Purchase E-Commerce: Risks & Maintenance FAQs
Does buying an e-commerce platform for TWD 50,000 mean you won't have to pay for it again in the future?
This does not mean there are no ongoing costs. A one-time purchase may be a one-time installation, a specific version, or a usage license. Source code, libraries, third-party modules, and modification rights are still subject to the contract. Additionally, you need to check the costs for hosting, domain, add-on renewals, backups, vulnerability patching, version upgrades, logistics, and new features; no monthly fee does not mean no ongoing costs.
Are one-time purchase e-commerce platforms always insecure? Can SSL replace cybersecurity maintenance?
A system's vulnerability cannot be determined solely by its purchase price. Risk depends on implementation, version, add-ons, permissions, and ongoing maintenance. SSL primarily protects transmission and does not automatically patch website vulnerabilities. Lack of updates to the core and add-ons, use of discontinued modules, and absence of off-site backups and restore testing can all increase risk. The vendor should be asked to specify the responsible party and the scope of their actions.
Why is it that a one-time purchase e-commerce platform with many features might actually be more complicated to operate?
A complete feature list does not equate to compliance with business workflows. Multi-tiered membership systems, profit sharing, points, discounts, and logistics rules may require extensive setup and interaction testing; a lack of clear interfaces, role permissions, tutorials, and support could simply transfer complexity to the store. Require untrained, hands-on staff to complete tasks such as product listing, shipping, and refunds before assessing ease of use.
Which is more suitable for companies without technical staff: buying, renting, or customizing a system?
If the standard functionality is sufficient and you wish to have the service provider handle platform maintenance, you can first evaluate a subscription platform with clear support conditions. If a one-time purchase plan lacks maintenance, training, and handover support, the management burden on the business may be heavier than with a rental plan. Special procedures can be used to evaluate customized and maintenance contracts; service responsibilities should be verified for all three methods, and the merits of the option should not be judged solely by the name of the purchase, rental, or customization.
Review the cost, maintenance, and operational risks of one-time-purchase e-commerce platforms.
Is DFocus's shopping cart a pre-installed version or a custom-developed feature?
DFocus offers independent development capabilities for environments such as PHP, .NET, ASP, and ASP.NET, and integrates JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. PHP projects can utilize frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, and ThinkPHP, or be developed using a framework-free approach. Custom e-commerce is not limited to WordPress/WooCommerce installations or extensions; the actual technology selection, existing components, and scope of customization will be determined based on project requirements and the deployment environment.
Why are the prices of 30,000-TWD 60,000 package deals different from those of customized e-commerce?
Basic package pricing typically starts with existing models, standard functions, and settings for comparison; DFocus customized projects also involve process analysis, UI/UX, front-end, back-end, integration, and testing. TWD 30,000–60,000 is a basic setup comparison budget, not the official package price or uniform market rate; each item should be checked against the range. If standard requirements are sufficient, upgrading from a package to a customized one is not always necessary.
Why do vendors still charge for WooCommerce and OpenCart, which are free?
"Free" usually refers to the open-source core software, but does not mean that installation, hosting, layout design, paid plugins, logistics settings, data transfer, and subsequent updates are all free. Please confirm who is responsible for backups, vulnerability patching, compatibility testing, and plugin renewals.
Besides the annual fee, what else should you pay attention to when using a rental e-commerce platform?
Confirm each item: initial implementation or setup, modules and APIs, renewal, potential GMV-based billing, payment processing fees, SMS, data transfer, and termination conditions. The plans for platforms such as SHOPLINE and 91APP differ, so the same commission rate should not be applied; when comparing, please use a three-year total investment and the same turnover for calculation.
Does the fact that the website belongs to me mean that I can definitely take the source code and data with me?
It depends on the provider and the contract. For a DFocus custom project, we hand over the complete project source code, database, and hosting-management access included in your hosting plan, and sign project-ownership documents. Your data remains on your leased hosting account. Shared-server root access may not be included. Third-party code and licensed assets remain subject to their own licenses.
In what situations is it appropriate to choose DFocus customization instead of renting or a package?
When special pricing, multi-tiered membership pricing, B2B processes, permissions, ERP, or other system integration cannot be adequately supported by existing solutions, customization can be evaluated. If standard checkout processes are sufficient and rapid market testing is required, adopting a packaged solution or renting a platform may be suitable; however, customization still requires reserving budget for development, maintenance, and security updates.
What are the differences between an e-commerce system and a brand website?
A company website focuses on introducing the company and its services; an e-commerce system also needs to handle products, shopping processes, transactions, and orders. Companies that primarily rely on inquiries and order processing can start by planning their product catalogs and inquiry processes.
What materials need to be prepared before development?
Please compile the product categories, specifications and images, payment and delivery rules, member requirements, and current order processing procedures. Data transfer and URL retention from existing systems should also be included in the evaluation.
Can it be integrated with cash flow, logistics, or ERP systems?
Payment and shipping integrations are quoted around your provider, API, store size, and checkout flow. For many small e-commerce projects, the integration work is typically TWD 30,000–50,000. That is the integration budget, not the price of the entire website. Transaction fees and provider subscriptions are separate. If you need an SSL certificate, we can help with the application and installation; you pay the certificate cost. See our Website Maintenance & Security page for maintenance plans, included change allowances, and additional charges. Final scope and pricing are confirmed in your quote.
How to choose between customization and off-the-shelf platforms?
For standard shopping needs, compare existing platforms first; for special pricing, membership privileges, or internal processes, evaluate customization options. Set-up costs, platform monthly fees, maintenance, data export, and expansion costs should all be compared together.
How to estimate system development costs and time?
The cost estimate needs to be determined based on functional specifications, page design, integration, data transfer, and acceptance criteria. Only by first differentiating between essential functions and future expansion projects can a suitable quote and schedule be arranged.
Website voice guidance, AI guides and accessibility: FAQs
How is a website voice guide different from an accessible website?
A voice guide introduces a brand, explains content or points visitors toward contact options. Accessibility covers the whole experience: keyboard use, focus, contrast, form labels, text alternatives and compatibility with assistive technology. Adding a player does not establish that a site meets WCAG or has passed an accessibility audit.
Is an AI voice guide the same as a live AI assistant?
An AI guide can combine a brand character with prerecorded AI narration, while live conversation is a separate project. DFocus’s current D小妹 V1.0 uses an approved MP3 for a brand introduction and an optional LINE contact link. It does not record visitors, recognize speech or answer questions in real time.
How can website voice guidance help a business?
A short introduction gives mobile visitors another way to understand your services and decide what to explore next. DFocus can scope invitations, playback controls, prompt frequency and human contact links around the existing site. Voluntary starts, completions and contact clicks can be measured over time; published outcome data is not yet available.
Can audio replace the written information on a website?
Keep readable service information available. Accessibility planning generally requires an equivalent text alternative for prerecorded audio-only content, unless the audio is clearly labeled as an alternative to existing text and the applicable exception is met. Review text, player controls and keyboard access together.
Does the DFocus guide play automatically or use the microphone?
On the Chinese homepage, eligible phone visitors see a one-time invitation after about three seconds. Audio loads and plays only after they choose to start. There is no microphone request. Visitors can pause, resume, replay, minimize or dismiss the guide, and choose whether to contact DFocus through LINE after playback.

Business Website: Common Questions Comparing Packages and Customization
The following information pertains to the company's website, brand image, and service introduction website; for a comparison of shopping carts and e-commerce platforms, please see the e-commerce page .
What is the difference between a template website and a custom website?
A template website uses predefined layouts and standard features to keep the scope and cost predictable. It suits company information, product listings and contact details. A custom website is built around your brand, user roles, business processes and integrations, with cost and timing based on scope. Shopping carts, payment integrations and membership features need separate planning and are not included in the entry-level three-page plan.
What are the advantages and limitations of using a website featuring a complete set of images?
The advantage is that the initial investment is usually easier to manage, and the deployment process is simpler when the materials are complete and the functions match the existing modules. Limitations may include similar layouts, page configurations and special interactions being constrained by modules, and conditions for adding to purchases, renewing, or migrating; the actual flexibility depends on the system and solution used, and not all packages are unadjustable.
What are the advantages and costs of a customized website?
We can design content architecture, visual interfaces, and backends based on brand stories, service processes, and user needs, making us suitable for companies with complex information needs or requiring special layouts or management processes. This requires more comprehensive interviews, content preparation, design confirmation, and testing, with initial costs and delivery times increasing depending on the scope. After launch, hosting, security updates, backups, and maintenance are still required, and any new requirements will need to be estimated separately.
How does the NT$5,000 annual template plan compare with a custom website?
DFOCUS's entry-level plan is NT$7,000 for the first year, including a NT$5,000 annual fee and a one-time NT$2,000 setup fee. Renewal is NT$5,000 per year. All prices are in TWD and include tax. The plan includes Home, Products and Contact pages, up to 30 listings, five freely interchangeable responsive templates, a CMS, social links, a .COM domain, SSL, cloud hosting and initial setup and content assistance. Premium template licenses, extra pages, custom features and advanced SEO/GEO are separate. This is an annual subscription, not a one-time website buyout. Custom project budgets are typically discussed in ranges of NT$100,000–200,000, NT$200,000–300,000 or NT$400,000 and above, with deliverables and pricing confirmed separately.
Is customization necessary if all that's needed is a company introduction, service details, and contact information?
Not necessarily. If the existing template clearly presents the content and the modules and management methods are acceptable, the package may be sufficient. If brand identity, case categorization, multilingual content, multi-user maintenance permissions, or special interactions cannot be reasonably met, then assess the value of customization. Listing essential requirements and deferable items first helps ensure the budget is used where it is truly needed.
How can customized websites give you an edge in Google Search and AI content understanding?
Customized websites can be tailored to a company's services and audience, with customized information architecture, page themes, internal links, and technical implementations to make brand content clearer and easier for search engines to understand. Combined with mobile readability, speed, indexability settings, real-world examples, and continuous updates, a more comprehensive foundation is built for search visibility and AI referencing. When comparing packaged services and customized solutions, verify whether the above-mentioned items, subsequent maintenance, and performance tracking are included in the delivery.
Can I modify the website myself after it goes live? Can I move it if I switch vendors?
For both packaged and customized services, editable fields, page and image management, account permissions, and operation tutorials should be confirmed before signing the contract. Not every visual element can be changed from the backend. Additionally, the costs of domain registration and account setup, data backup, delivery of source code and design files, third-party licensing, and hosting relocation and assistance must be specified. Obtaining website usage rights does not mean that all programs and materials can be freely sublicensed.
When redesigning an old corporate website, what SEO data should be retained, whether using a pre-packaged or customized solution?
First, take stock of existing URLs, important pages, titles, content, images, and analyze and track them. Then, confirm the correspondence between the old and new pages. When URLs change, plan appropriate relocations, avoid deleting important content unnecessarily, and check the mobile version, forms, indexing settings, and sitemap. Regardless of the redesign method, the same launch acceptance and tracking checklist should still be maintained.

Starter Website Plan FAQs
Does the beginner's version include GEO and AI SEO?
The introductory SEO package covers embedded keyword settings; GEO and AI SEO are separately charged services. You can view the solutions and planning budgets on the GEO/AI search optimization page; the actual scope and price need to be confirmed through project discussion. View GEO/AI SEO solution fees .
Packaged SEO: Offers embedded keyword settings, but supports a basic search presence; broader SEO work is scoped separately. GEO and AI SEO are charged separately. Please refer to the GEO/AI search optimization solutions and planning budgets for details .
How much does a small business website cost, and what is included?
How many products can I list, and what are the hosting limits?
The plan supports up to 30 product or service listings and includes cloud hosting. Storage and traffic limits follow the subscription agreement; hosting is not unlimited. Optimize images before uploading. Higher listing limits or additional hosting resources can be assessed and quoted separately.
Can I switch templates, change colors or add pages?
Switch between the five included responsive templates for free without uploading your logo, banner, products or contact details again. Future premium templates require a separate license. Color changes, extra pages, custom design and additional features are assessed and quoted separately.
Does the starter pack include a business email address or shopping cart?
This plan does not include a mail server, and including a domain should not be interpreted as providing a corporate email address. This plan is a three-page website showcasing the company's image and products; the listed scope does not include shopping cart, payment processing, order processing, or other unlisted features; related requirements need to be evaluated separately.
Can I get a responsive business website for under NT$420 per month?
DFOCUS's entry-level plan costs NT$5,000 per year, including tax, equivalent to approximately NT$416.67 per month before setup. A one-time NT$2,000 setup fee brings the first-year total to NT$7,000, including tax, or approximately NT$583.33 per month when averaged over that year. Renewal is NT$5,000 per year. The plan is billed annually, not monthly.
How do I choose an affordable web design company in Taiwan?
Compare the deliverables, first-year and renewal costs, responsive design, CMS, hosting, domain, SSL and ongoing support. DFOCUS offers a budget-friendly template plan for straightforward business websites, plus custom development for specific branding and workflows. Choose based on your needs and budget rather than a monthly-equivalent headline alone.
Which social media platforms can I link to my website?
Add links to Facebook, Instagram, Threads and LINE through your dashboard; links you have not configured stay hidden. These are website links, not social media account management, automatic posting or official API integrations.
Web Design
What do you need to prepare before creating a website?
Please prepare your company introduction, service and product information, trademarks, legal images, case studies, and contact information, and explain the goals you hope to achieve with the website. DFocus will help clarify the direction through needs assessments.
How is website design carried out?
The process includes requirements interviews, planning, quote and specification confirmation, visual design, internal page expansion, front-end slicing, system development, testing and acceptance, and official launch. Modifications and additions to features will affect the schedule; details will be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.
Does it support mobile phones and tablets?
Responsive layout, mobile operation, and tablet browsing can be discussed during the requirements phase to confirm the testing scope for devices, pages, and browsers. For existing website redesigns, the mobile navigation and content consistency of the old version must also be checked.
Do we need to keep the old URLs when redesigning a website?
It is recommended to first take stock of existing URLs and important search entry points. Prioritize retainable URLs, and when changes are necessary, establish a reference list and implement relocation, and verify internal links, sitemaps, and form functionality.
Does the website design include SEO?
Website planning can include page themes, titles, text structure, internal links, and technical settings; the scope of the actual project needs to be confirmed. These improvements help search engines understand the pages and establish a foundation for indexing and ranking competition; subsequently, content and technology will be continuously adjusted based on the indexing, impressions, clicks, and average ranking in the Search Console.
Monthly Design Support
Which companies are suitable for monthly design support plans?
Suitable for small and medium-sized businesses that regularly need social media, advertising, event, or corporate promotional materials. You can first organize your monthly workload and needs, and then evaluate whether to cooperate on a monthly subscription or a one-off project.
What design requirements can be proposed?
We can discuss commercial design needs such as brochures and flyers, brand visuals, packaging, posters, and advertising banners. The actual scope, number of items, and formats will be confirmed based on the proposal and quote, and are not automatically included in all projects.
Does a monthly subscription mean unlimited items and modifications?
This should not be interpreted as an unlimited number of submissions or immediate delivery. Before collaborating, the workload, the number of projects running simultaneously, revision rules, arrangements for urgent submissions, and scheduling methods should be confirmed.
Do I need to provide text and images?
We recommend providing confirmed copywriting, brand guidelines, trademarks, and legal materials. If additional copywriting, photography, illustration, or stock photo purchases are required, please confirm whether the service will be provided, the fees, and the licensing agreement.
Can you deliver the original file?
Editable files, copyrights, and third-party material licenses should be confirmed in advance. Font and image library licenses are not necessarily transferable; acquiring a finished design does not equate to acquiring all material rights.
Graphic Design & Production Support
What are the differences between monthly subscriptions for graphic design, art design, and overall design?
These names lack consistent market standards. Graphic design often focuses on copywriting and layout, while graphic design may involve adjustments to existing materials; the scope of collaboration should be confirmed through a work list, delivery format, and schedule.
Can a monthly graphic design package handle product images?
Product image layout, size adjustments, and event photos can be discussed. Extensive background removal, retouching, compositing, or photography requires further confirmation regarding material quality, workload, and whether it should be included in the plan.
Is the printing cost included in the monthly package?
Design and printing should be confirmed separately. Paper material, print run, proofing, processing, and shipping will affect the cost and should not be assumed to be included in the monthly design fee.
Can images from the internet be used directly for printing?
The size, resolution, color mode, and bleed settings of online and print files may differ. If both applications require the files, please specify in advance and prepare the files according to the printing plant's specifications.
How to reduce the need for repeated design revisions?
For each request, please provide the purpose, target audience, size, expected usage time, confirmed copy, and suggested directions, and submit your feedback through a unified platform. Confirming the content first, then adjusting the layout details, will help reduce rework.
AI Images, Print Resolution & Production FAQs
AI images are all 72 DPI, can't they be printed directly?
Judging solely by the 72 DPI indicated on the file is insufficient. The suitability of a digital image for printing depends primarily on the number of pixels, the actual print size, image detail, and the printer's specifications. AI images cannot be universally assumed to be limited to 72 DPI. While this section uses the DPI specification commonly used in print deliveries, it's crucial to verify both the original image's pixel count and the final print size; relying solely on the resolution label is insufficient. If the pixel count is sufficient and the content is confirmed, AI materials can be incorporated into the print design; otherwise, resizing, retouching, enlarging, or re-producing the image must be evaluated.
Will the image become clearer if I change the DPI from 72 to 300?
It won't automatically become clearer. Modifying only the resolution value without resampling won't increase pixels or original details; at the same pixel count, increasing DPI will reduce the corresponding print size. Resampling or AI magnification may increase pixels, but it cannot guarantee the restoration of true details. Designers still need to check edges, textures, products, and text, and remake if necessary.
Which is more suitable for corporate printing: 200 DPI or 300 DPI?
The actual size, printing method, viewing distance, paper material, and printing plant requirements need to be confirmed. For DMs and catalogs intended for close-range reading, an effective DPI of 300 is often the planning target; 200 DPI cannot be universally considered sufficient or insufficient, and large long-distance billboards may also use different specifications. If the image is enlarged after being placed on the page, the effective DPI will decrease; one should not rely solely on the original file's DPI value.
What professional tasks are included in the prepress processing of a monthly design package?
We check final size, effective resolution, image detail, fonts, logos, color settings, bleed, safe areas, and print-ready PDFs. Whether a file needs upscaling, compositing, redrawing, or proofing depends on the source material and your printer’s requirements. Some low-resolution images need to be recreated; extra production, proofing, and printing are quoted separately.
Licensed Imagery, AI & Design Quality FAQs
What's the difference between designers using licensed image resources and directly generating images using AI?
Licensed images refer to the source of materials and the licensing method; the designer's creation involves planning, image selection, composition, compositing, layout, and proofreading; AI is the production tool. These three are not mutually exclusive. DFocus evaluates legal materials and production methods based on their intended use, focusing on whether the final content is accurate, aligns with the brand, is editable, and suitable for the intended delivery, rather than simply looking at which tool the image was generated from.
Which method is more suitable for ensuring accuracy in product, packaging, people, and text?
If it is essential to faithfully represent the actual products, packaging, location, or team members, then the actual photos and original data confirmed by the company should prevail; general image libraries cannot replace real product photos. AI can generate concepts and scenarios, but specific appearances, numbers, traditional Chinese characters, and details still need to be checked item by item. Formal copy, prices, and trademarks should be independently formatted using the correct files provided by the company, avoiding the direct use of unproofread generated images as final files.
Does using licensed images paired with a designer guarantee better visual appeal than AI?
It's not a one-size-fits-all situation. Stock photo licensing doesn't guarantee a visually appealing design, and AI can also generate expressive concepts. Commercial aesthetics consider composition, font hierarchy, color, white space, brand tone, and whether it suits the target audience for mobile reading. A designer's value lies in assessing, refining, and maintaining consistency across a series based on needs, rather than simply delivering a beautiful image. Without testing on the same task and review process, we do not claim victory based on percentages of accuracy or aesthetics.
How can a monthly design subscription maintain brand consistency in the images each month?
First, confirm the trademark, main color, font and authorization, layout rules, copywriting tone and reference style, and then arrange the series design according to different activities. If using AI materials, it is also necessary to compare the characters, lighting, colors and product details, and have them proofread by a person. Confirming the size, quantity, modification and editable file delivery range before work begins is helpful for subsequent expansion, but does not mean that all materials or original files can be delivered without restrictions.
AI-generated designs are fast, so why do companies still need monthly design subscriptions?
The speed of concept generation is not the entirety of the cost of the final commercial draft. Businesses still need to confirm information and authorization, organize materials, ensure correct text layout, extend to different sizes, conform to print or platform specifications, and arrange revisions. If it's just an internal proposal draft, AI may be sufficient; if continuous external marketing and brand consistency are required, a designer can be considered for comprehensive production. Monthly fees are determined based on workload and delivery scope, and do not automatically result in unlimited drafts simply by using a particular tool.
Can businesses use licensed image libraries, live-action photos, and AI simultaneously?
Based on requirements, an assessment can be conducted. For example, the product appearance can be preserved using real product images provided by the client and which the client has the right to use, combined with legally sourced or commercially usable backgrounds, and then the designer can composite, layout, and proofread the images. The usage conditions of each material and AI platform must be confirmed; not all AI platforms, solutions, or generated results offer the same level of protection. People, trademarks, product details, and situations that could easily cause confusion need to be specially verified, and the actual implementation method will be discussed during the requirements and design confirmation process.

Image licensing, unauthorized use of images, and common AI image issues.
Does DFocus use licensed images in its designs?
Yes. DFocus uses images from Shutterstock's officially licensed stock library, selecting and designing images according to brand needs, and confirming the applicable uses of the materials. Projects may also use original, legally provided by clients, or AI materials used under platform conditions; the source, usage conditions, and delivery scope of all materials should be confirmed.
What are the serious consequences for businesses using pirated or unauthorized images?
Reproducing protected photographs or artwork directly without permission, or posting them on websites or in advertisements, may constitute copyright infringement. Depending on the specific actions and legal requirements, this may lead to civil claims, and in certain circumstances, criminal liability; not every case will have the same outcome.
Besides legal disputes, businesses may also need to withdraw materials, suspend advertising, redesign or reprint promotional materials, resulting in time and cost losses, and potentially affecting brand trust. Upon receiving a rights notice, businesses should preserve records of the material's source and authorization, clarifying the rights and scope of use; and seek assistance from legal professionals if necessary.
Can images found on Google be used commercially after being credited or modified?
This is not a valid conclusion. Search results merely provide a means to find images, not a commercial license. Adding source information, text, cropping, or recoloring typically does not grant the user rights to the original image; confirmation of the rights holder's consent, licensing terms, or other legal grounds for use is still required.
What are the differences between licensed stock photos and AI-generated images?
| What to Compare | Licensed Stock Library | AI-generated images |
|---|---|---|
| How to obtain | Select existing materials and obtain usage authorization from the image library solution. | Generated according to instructions and materials; usage rights require confirmation of the platform, scheme, and input material conditions. |
| Image and Use | You can choose between live-action shots or illustrations, depending on the image quality, theme, and intended use. | Suitable for exploring concepts, contexts, and styles; product appearance, text, and details require manual verification. |
| Confirmation of rights | Materials and licensing records will be retained; restrictions on persons, trademarks, editorial uses, and product applications still need to be verified. | It is necessary to check whether the platform's commercial conditions, input data, and output content infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, or portrait rights of others. |
| Exclusivity and Copyright | Image library licensing is generally not equivalent to a one-time purchase or exclusive use. | Whether something is protected by copyright depends on the actual human creative input and applicable laws; one cannot be automatically deemed to have complete and exclusive rights simply because it was created by oneself. |
Are AI-generated images free from authorization and guaranteed not to infringe on copyrights?
No. AI refers to the production method, while official licensing concerns rights and usage conditions. These are not mutually exclusive categories: some platforms also offer licensing options for AI-generated images. Commercial use depends on the platform's terms of service, usage plan, input materials, and actual output content. "AI-generated" cannot be used as a guarantee of safety.
According to the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, if there is actual human creative input and AI is used as an auxiliary tool, the creative result may be protected by copyright; if it is entirely completed independently by AI calculations without actual human creative input, the generated content cannot enjoy copyright. Whether copyright exists and whether other rights are infringed when using it are still different issues.
Should businesses choose licensed image libraries or AI-generated images?
The choice depends on the brand's intended use. When actual product or person information is required, priority should be given to ensuring the authenticity of the content and the clarity of rights; AI assistance can be used to evaluate concept illustrations or situational visuals. Regardless of the choice, the legal source, scope of use, and accuracy of the image must be verified, and necessary records must be kept. DFocus can assist in selecting suitable materials based on the project; material costs, modifications, and delivery methods will be confirmed separately before work begins.

Maintenance & Security After Launch
How are hosting, domain, backup, security updates, and minor feature tweaks billed? To find out, check the website maintenance and security plans: basic subscription and SME plans , and first confirm the scope of maintenance, division of labor, and subsequent costs.
Hosting provider referrals and package website design collaboration
First, clarify the platform to be used and the division of labor between the two parties, and then assess whether a package collaboration or custom development is suitable.
How do DFocus and URL Hosting divide their work?
DFocus has long handled website requests referred by URL Hosting Lifestyle Store, assisting with requirement clarification, layout planning, feature evaluation, and pricing. When using URL Hosting's Easy Website Setup and other suite systems, the platform is provided by URL Hosting, and DFocus assists with layout planning and adjustments according to the project scope; hosting environment matters are the responsibility of the hosting provider according to the rental service, and DFocus coordinates the design and development work.
Are all websites referred by URL Hosting developed from scratch by DFocus?
No. It's necessary to distinguish between design collaboration using the existing suite system from DFocus and custom development that requires separate evaluation. Suite collaboration involves version planning and adjustments based on the platform's capabilities; if the requirements exceed the existing system, DFocus will conduct a separate evaluation of functionality, technical feasibility, budget, and delivery method, and will not describe version adjustments as independent development of the entire system.
FAQs about AI Agents, AI Spokespersons, and Brand Roles
DFocus assists businesses in implementing AI Agent workflows and brand visual design services. First, identify the tasks to be solved, then select the appropriate service. Compare AI Agent workflows and view case studies of AI spokespeople and mascots.
What is the difference between an AI spokesperson and an AI agent?
AI spokespeople are brand characters used for external communication and can be used on websites, in images, or in videos; AI agents are workflow systems that connect data and tools and perform tasks according to permissions. DFocus's D-mei and Steve F are brand visual applications; AI sales hunters, document retrieval, and alarm summaries are AI agent applications, which can cooperate but have different functions.
How to choose AI mascots, AI models, and AI spokespeople?
For a stable brand image, an AI spokesperson can be planned; for conveying brand personality through animals or fictional characters, an AI mascot can be planned; for presenting visuals of clothing, merchandise, or scenarios, AI models can be evaluated. DFocus has demonstrated workflows for character creation, clothing adjustment, facial synthesis, and mascot pairing. Actual delivery will depend on the materials, intended use, and trial results.
Can DFocus help create AI-generated images of models and products?
We can discuss visual prototypes of AI-generated characters, clothing adjustments, and product scenarios. This case study provides screenshots of the workflow for character and clothing embellishment and product pairing; before official use, we will still check character consistency, hands, product appearance, brand recognition, and delivery dimensions. Companies can first select a set of authorized materials to confirm the scope of the prototype and acceptance criteria.
Will the AI spokesperson images themselves answer customer questions or perform tasks automatically?
Static character images will not automatically answer questions or perform tasks. If interactive dialogue, order inquiries, or operating system functions are required, a separate dialogue interface, data sources, tool permissions, and manual confirmation processes must be established. Character appearance can be part of the interface, but it cannot replace the system design of the AI Agent.
